Cheshire East - Online across the county - from £35

Men's counselling
in Cheshire East

Cheshire East covers Macclesfield, Crewe, Congleton, Wilmslow, Knutsford and the towns around them. There is no consulting room in any of them, so counselling here is online.

I work with men across Cheshire East online by secure video or phone, weekends and evenings included subject to availability, payment upfront by bank transfer locks in the meeting date and time. Most men get started within days of the free initial call.

How online counselling works in Cheshire East.

Sessions run by secure video or phone. You get a link beforehand, you join from wherever suits, and the session runs the same fifty minutes it would in a room.

The main practical difference is that no travel is involved. That tends to matter most to people whose week is already full, or who would otherwise be adding an hour of driving either side of an appointment.

Some men also prefer it because nobody sees them arrive anywhere. Whether that matters to you is worth saying on the first call, because it changes very little about the work and quite a lot about how easy it is to start.

What you need for an online session.

Somewhere private and a device with a camera or a microphone. A joining link arrives ahead of each session and expires afterwards. A dropped connection moves the session to voice rather than ending it.

Men counselling men.

Cheshire East is not short of counsellors. It is short of male ones, because most counsellors in this country are women. If that makes no difference to you, it genuinely does not matter. If it does, this is a practice where men counselling men is the whole design rather than an option on a dropdown.

What men in Cheshire East bring to counselling.

Anxiety that will not switch off.

Waking early, running the same loop, unable to settle even when nothing is obviously wrong. Often the first thing people name.

Low mood that outstayed a bad patch.

Something that started as a rough few weeks and did not lift. Flatness rather than sadness, in a lot of cases.

Work that has stopped being sustainable.

Long hours, a role that changed, or a level of pressure that was manageable once and is not now.

A relationship under strain.

Separation, a marriage under pressure, or difficulty with a child or a parent. Often the reason someone finally books.

There is no counselling room in Cheshire East, and I will not pretend there is.

The one Mettle consulting room is in Southport. Everything across Cheshire East is done remotely, and this page exists to be useful to people searching from here, not to imply an office that does not exist.

If you would rather sit in a room with a counsellor, that is a reasonable preference and Southport is a long way to go for it. Say so on the free call and I will point you toward finding someone closer instead.

Counselling questions men in Cheshire East ask.

Is there anywhere in Cheshire East I can be seen in person?

+

Not with me. The consulting room is in Southport, which is a fair distance from most of the county. Everything across Cheshire East is online. If face to face matters to you, say so on the free call rather than settling for a format you do not want.

I travel for work. Can session times move around?

+

Yes. Online sessions do not have to be the same slot every week, and they can happen from a hotel room or a parked car as easily as from home. What matters is that you are somewhere private and not about to be interrupted.

Can I be seen outside working hours?

+

Weekday evenings run to 8pm, with Saturday mornings and some Sunday slots. Availability changes, so the free 15-minute call is the quickest way to find out what is actually open.

How soon could I start?

+

Usually within days of the free call rather than weeks. There is no referral form, no assessment queue and no waiting list. Once payment is received the date and time are confirmed.

What if I am not sure online is right for me?

+

Then the first session or two will tell us. I would rather find out early that it does not suit you than have you push through something that is not working. Nothing here commits you to a block of sessions.

Take the first step. No pressure. No obligation.
