Our commitment
Mettle Therapy is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities, neurodivergent conditions, and reading difficulties. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we have done
- ✓Semantic HTML elements throughout - <main>, <nav>, <header>, <footer>, correct heading hierarchy
- ✓All images include descriptive alt text
- ✓Colour contrast meets WCAG AA throughout the site
- ✓A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen reader users, available on every page
- ✓Consistent body text size and layout across all pages
- ✓Keyboard-navigable interface with visible focus indicators
- ✓No auto-playing audio or video
- ✓Crisis support banner permanently visible at the top of every page
- ✓A granular cookie consent banner - choose exactly which non-essential cookies to allow
- ✓All interactive elements have accessible labels (aria-label where needed)
Known limitations
We are not aware of any significant accessibility barriers at this time. This site is actively maintained and reviewed on an ongoing basis. If you find something that doesn’t work for you, please tell us - your report is taken seriously.
Third-party content
This site links to Calendly for session booking. We do not control the accessibility of third-party platforms. If you experience difficulty booking through Calendly, please contact us directly by phone, WhatsApp, or email and we will arrange your booking manually.
