Community
Partnerships

At Mettle, supporting mental health goes beyond private practice. Time is given to community organisations that support people facing difficult life circumstances — allowing support to reach individuals who may not otherwise access counselling or professional help.

Working alongside local services helps strengthen the wider network of support available in Southport and surrounding areas.

The Salvation Army Southport

Each Monday between 10:00 and 14:00 (excluding bank holidays), Mettle offers free counselling sessions at The Salvation Army in Southport.

Many people who attend are dealing with difficult circumstances, including housing insecurity, bereavement, domestic abuse, recovery from addiction, or ongoing life pressures.

Sessions are straightforward and respectful. You can talk about what is going on for you, at your own pace. Where helpful, we can also look at practical next steps or connect you with other services that may support you further.

This is for anyone who might not otherwise access counselling, or who would benefit from having one conversation to think things through.
